Lettering on monuments can be done in three ways, and MOSNOW Monuments offers them all. The team will incorporate your chosen style and font, crafting your vision into reality.

The most common form of engraving today is called sandblasting, which is then gilded in 23k gold. Please note that some prefer not to gild when using a dark stone, as it may leave a grey color by the letters.

Commonly found on older monuments is a lettering style called v-cut, which was traditionally done by hand. As technology and practices have evolved, much of the work is done using pneumatic tools with the finishing done by hand. This method is predominately used today by industry old timers.

Another method found is raised lead letters, and can seen in some older cemeteries. It is also used in Israel on Har Hazeizim.
